Lurch Search is a personal search engine for IIS / ASP based web sites which can be utilized through Microsoft® FrontPage® 2002 or Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000.  The person implementing Lurch does not have to know anything about ASP.  NO CODING, OR COMPLEX SERVER SETUPS REQUIRED!

FrontPage Search is easy with Lurch Search!

Unlike the Microsoft® FrontPage® search component, Lurch is highly customizable, and does not require an Index Server or FileSystem objects to be available on the server.  Lurch's index capabilities allows web masters to setup categories for searching (for example: General, Knowledge Base, Support, etc), and allows the user to choose which files should be indexed for each category.  Lurch also produces databases that are 400% to 600% smaller in file size due to the way indexing is accomplished.  With most personal web search engines, all of the HTML code that a page is comprised of is indexed, while Lurch will only index the content of a page. 

	Select Lurch Search from the FrontPage menu.
	To configure Lurch, simply select the type of database you want to work with.  Lurch supports Microsoft Access and SQL Server, both of which can be setup with the click of a button! Select the options you want, create categories for your content. Click Save.  Lurch creates all of the necessary ASP files and uploads them to your site automatically!
	SQL Server users will appreciate the simplicity in creating the necessary Lurch tables.  Access databases are created automatically, even if you don't have Microsoft Access installed!
	Index pages simply by selecting categories, and the web pages you want to index.  Re-index as often as needed.  Lurch even provides a web-based interface for removing pages from your database.
	Use a user-friendly dialog box (similar to FP's Folder List) to select the pages you want to index into a particular category, then allow Lurch to its thing!
