  • Include pages to make your job easier. Easily edit the copyright area and the top square button area in one place.
  • Area for search engine friendly text. You may want to see the PixelMill articles area for more information about using this to your advantage.
  • High-tech layout and design. Expands to fit the browser window.
Some helpful tips...
  • Keep the names of your pages short and simple so they fit on the nav buttons.
  • Use the horizontal link bar area for your "Child pages under home". Limit the number of pages so that people with 800x600 windows can see all the buttons on one row. You can have five buttons max on this row. These buttons should be the broad "categories" of your site -- for example, Home, About us, Services, Products, Support. Then, use the vertical navigation bar for the "subpages" of each category. For example, some subpages of your About Us page could be: Press Info, Our People, Our Policies.
  • The splash page should be your index.htm, default.htm, etc. This will be the page that users automatically see if they type in your URL. This is also the page that FrontPage considers your "Home" page. You may then have a secondary "home" page (this page) with additional text. We've named this page home.htm, and it is a "child page under home" so that it shows up in the navigation bars. (You may choose to move it to the top level, and change the rollover button include so that the Home icon links to this sub-home page instead of the Flash intro.)
  • The bottom copyright info is in an include page. Open include-bottom.htm and edit the text there. This will update the information on every other page.
  • The top square rollover buttons are also in an include page. Open include-buttoms.htm to delete any buttons you don't need.
